DEEP ROOTS FESTIVAL
Downtown Milledgeville - October 18, 2014
Named one of Southeast Tourism Society's top 20 events, winner of SEFA's Best Event 2009 and also voted Lake Oconee Living magazine's Best Event for 2010, Deep Roots is set to be held on Saturday, October 18th at 6 pm, and is sure to provide one-of-a-kind entertainment foe all attendees!
Deep Roots is a cultural arts and music festival located in historic downtown Milledgeville and composed of regional and national talents, artists, and vendors. It beckons travelers from all over with an antique car show, live entertainment ranging from bluegrass to rock-and-roll, artist market, and Little-Roots KidZone. The festival will also once again hold a MBN sanctioned BBQ cook-off contest featuring the ever-popular Peoples Choice award that will draw BBQ connoisseurs from around the Southeast. The Plaza - October 23, 2014
The 5th Annual Historic Cemetery Tour will begin at 5:00pm and start at 30 minute intervals until 8:00pm. On and hour and a half walking tour of the Pine Grove Cemetery, guests will visit the grave sites of many of Eatonton's luminaries, where live actors will portray the inhabitants and will bring history to lie. Mansion's Education Building - November 12, 2014
Dr. Anne Rubin, "The March to the Sea". The museum continues its popular lecture series with intriguing features on regional topics and historical events. All lectures begin at 6 pm in the Mansion's Education Building and are free to the public. In observance of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, the Old Governor's Mansion has partnered with the Organization of American Historians to bring four nationally renowned scholars to campus for a series of lectures focused on various aspects of the war.

It is 6 pm and the Douglas family is busily preparing to be invaded by their quirky relatives for their annual Christmas Eve dinner. After robbing a neighborhood liquor store, high strung and irritable Tony, and his dim-witted side-kick Vinny, find themselves in need of a place to briefly hang out. Using a ruse to gain entrance into the Douglas home, they suddenly find themselves in charge of an ever-growing list of family members that they are forced to hold hostage.
